The Fox River Runners Boat Club is a group of people from Omro and the surrounding areas who want to help improve boating on the nearby Fox River for everyone. We hold an annual Corn Roast on the third Saturday in August to raise money to fund these activities.

We meet monthly on the first Monday of the month at Tanner’s in downtown Omro at 7 p.m.

Our activities include:

Purchase, place, and maintain navigational buoys in the Fox River
Improve and maintain local boat ramps
Improve and maintain sea walls in our local parks
Serve as a voice for boaters with city, county & state governments and with the WI DNR
Stay on top of major issues facing the Fox River
Work closely with other area boat clubs to promote Omro parks and businesses

Celebrate the Fox Corn Roast

We host an annual corn roast event with live music and great food to raise funds that continue to maintain and improve the Fox River experience.

The 2024 Corn Roast will be held August 17th.

ORFD Air Boat

Our club was thrilled to raise enough funds to donate the electronics package to the Omro-Rushford Volunteer Fire Department’s new rescue vessel.

Buoy Maintenance

Our club is proud to partner with local municipalities to deploy, retrieve, clean, and improve navigational markers each year.
